Ari is ONE!

Well, Ari had his first birthday party this past weekend. It was really fun. Must have been 15 1 yr olds walking (?), crawling, and whatever they could do. Ari seemed to have a good time although I'm not certain he loves big crowds of people. Anyway, he really dug the birthday cake. Literally. Leslie made the cutest cake in the shape of a 1 and he demolished it in about 20 seconds. It was delicious, as usual. That evening we all went to Jax Grill where Reva and I were surprised by a 40th anniversary party orchestrated by Rachel with Adam and Josh backing her up. It was great. Good food, great friends, delicious cake, perfect music (selected by Rachel from her vast experience with 60's music). The next day Rachel didn't fare so well. She couldn't make it to the Galleria for pictures so Ian carried the load. Unfortunately Ari wasn't in the mood for group pictures. You should see what we were barely able to eke out as a picture of Ari. Anyway we had fun. We went to the play area at the Galleria to wait for the pictures and Ari had a good time crawling around there and trying to crawl up the slide. Too soon it was time for everyone to go home. We had a great weekend and Ari will always remember his fabulous first birthday party!
